Hi Patricia,
My mom Linda Buckland has sent me an email saying that she's added you as a friend on Facebook and that you are a published author! Just thought I'd drop you a note to say it just so happens I am an aspiring one, having just started on my ever-so-harrowing journey of Trying to Get Published. It's been a few months now and I'm still querying agents both in the UK and in the US (I live in England now) for my novel. Gotten about 22 rejections now and I've queried probably 35 so far. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me your story: how did you get published? Where did you start and how did you get to where you are today? I'd love to hear about your experience. I've sent you a Facebook friend request as well - if you see a Veronica Buckland with a horse as a profile picture, that's me! All best, Veronica

Hi Patricia, I found your book by accident and have some interest in talking to you about a possible radio interview. I am a retired publishing executive with some background in radio and tv broadcasting. I host a weekly radio show titled "The Book Club". This is an hour long show that features two 25 minute interviews with two different authors. The program spotlights undiscovered books and authors. The show originates on WTAN in Tampa, Florida and is simulcast on KLRG in Little Rock, Arkansas as well as streamed live on the world wide net, and follows the "Imus in the morning" program. It airs Tuesday mornings between 9:00 and 10:00 eastern time. I am intrigued by what I have read about your novel "Given A Second Chance”." and I would like to talk to you briefly to see If you might be a fit for one of these interviews. You can hear the previous interviews by googling John Austin + The Book Club and clicking any of the link...s to take you to the podcasts or you can go directly to: www.internetradiopros.com/bookclub and you can listen to all that have aired or that have been recorded thus far I would suggest the Mitch Martin onterview (he talks about two of his books ), the Nicholas Brown interview, The Jean Joachim interview (she’s done four”, the Charles Fields interviews (he’s done three), and the Thanksgiving Special from 2010, when the Producer interviews me which I think you might find interesting. You can also reach the Podcast site through the the radio station’s WEBsite www.tantalk1340.com scroll down to Tuesdays at 9:00a.m. click on the bookclub (I go by John Austin on the air) and click on the Bookclub link. As soon as I got home from work I sat myself down on my sofa to read 'My Sweet Cory' and did not move until I was through with it. I was so glued to the storyline I can't believe I didn't get up until it was finished. You are such a great writer, can't wait to get 'The Cynthia Morgan Story' next.
